Betchworth House is a
charming 17th Century Grade II Listed Guest House situated in
the picturesque village of Chideock in an outstanding area of
West Dorset.
This area is part of the Jurassic Coast
of Dorset and Devon which in 2001 was granted World Heritage Site
status.
The village can be found on the A35
between Bridport and Lyme Regis and the House is situated
within one mile of the beach at Seatown. Ramberlers can enjoy
excellent walks along the Dorset coastal path, take in the
breathtaking views from Golden Cap, at 618 feet the highest
cliff on England's South Coast, or search for fossils along
the National Trust coastline.

outdoor activities available in the area including Pony
Trekking, Cycle Routes, Golf, Sailing and Watersports, Sea and
Freshwater Fishing and local Leisure Centres for indoor
pursuits.
Discover the many peaceful villages
and historic towns nestling amongst West Dorset's rolling
countryside and also visit the quaint coastal villages where
in olden times smugglers traded illicit goods.
The
village has three pubs, all of which serve bar snacks and evening meals. There are also two village stores and
a Post
