WELCOME To Lyme Fossil Shop
the original fossil shop established approximately 30 years ago
where we have a huge selection of local fossils, probably the
largest selection in Europe. Our professional paleontologist
visitors frequently tell us that it has to be the best shop in the
UK.
We are constantly travelling the world to bring you the best
specimen fossils or minerals. The shop also has a large selection
of Amber and Copal from the Baltic, Dominican Republic, Columbia,
and Madagascar many of which have inclusions of insects, we also
have some hydro amber (water inclusions). We stock a huge
variety of fish plates, our specimens originate from America,
France, Germany, China, Lebanon and Brazil. |
An area that we are also known for
is our huge range of local fossils that are always in stock,
prices range from 99p to £1500.
If you enjoy finding fossils yourself we cater for you with our
selection of hammers chisels, picks and other useful tools. Should
you want to take up a hobby then maybe try gem stone tumbling,
ideal for jewellery making. We have tumblers in stock and they all
carry a 10 year warranty. If you already tumble then you may want
some grits so why not give us a ring. |

The shop also stocks petrified
wood from Arizona, Brazil, Madagascar, Canada, and the UK.
Another interesting fossil that
we have is the Portland Titanites Gigantus the largest ammonite in
the world and the very similar Moroccan Agadir ammonites,
these range from £45 to £400. |

Another area we keep well stocked
is the minerals, these are mainly hand selected by ourselves
overseas and shipped back to us. We always have in stock large
good quality Amethyst and Citrine display pieces. So if you are a
collector of rare minerals or a crystal healer give us a try and
if we have not got it, we can nearly always get it. We also have
meteorites and tektites in stock from £10 to £500. |

The shop is not just about fine
fossils and minerals, we also have Dinosaur Toys, Sea Shells and
carved stone products in Soapstone, Coal, and Onyx.
Our jewellery is mostly hand made in the UK with either Sterling
Silver or 9ct gold.
Our vast range includes Baltic Amber, Amethyst, Sodalite, Lapis
Lazuli, Adventurine, Topaz, Garnet, Black Onyx, Malachite, Tiger
Eye, Azurite, Blue Lace Agate, Hematite, Jade, Pietersite, Rose
Quartz, Carnelian, Green Agate, Mother of Pearl, Plain Silver, and
many more.

We always welcome a friendly chat
and are always interested to hear of important finds in your area
of the world. We can give you information on important finds in
our area.
The shop also has a lower ground floor which is our mini museum
and this displays some of our local finds such as one of our three
Ichthyosaurs, Ammonites, Fish, and Crinoids. This is free to enter
but you can donate some money to charity if you wish: over the
years the shop has donated thousands of pounds to charities such
as Cancer, Lifeboat, Fire Service and many more. |

If we have not tempted you to
visit us, then we would say that every week new finds are
purchased and on display, it is impossible to list everything, so
it is well worth popping in, ringing or E-mailing us to find out
what new specimens we have on sale.
If you are over seas or a long way away, don't worry we will
happily take Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Switch or Solo and then post
the items to you. Postage will be charged at the Royal Mail Going
rate.
