LOCATION
Alanya is a large popular resort on the beautiful south coast of Turkey. It lies on a rocky promontory in the eastern Mediterranean flanked by two great sweeping sandy beaches with the Blue Taurus mountain as a backdrop (Cyprus is due south and 4 hours away by ferry).
Fly to Antalya Airport from London, Birmingham, Manchester, Exeter or Bristol and the transfer time to Palm Villas is 1hr 10mins. From here it is 15mins by bus or taxi to the beautiful Cleopatra Beach; 13th century Seljuk fortress and central Alanya with its colourful restaurants, bars, clubs and shops (boutiques; handicrafts; leather; carpets).

FACILITIES AT PALM VILLAS
38 Palm Villas is a new luxury villa (not previously let) in a private complex of 40 villas, with 2 private swimming pools and a childrens pool in a grassed area overlooked by the villa. It is 2 mins walk to the sandy beach with beach bar, or to 2 local Turkish grocery shops. It is a 5 minute bus ride to Konakli for local bars, restaurants and shops plus a Traditional Market every Wednesday. The Dolmus bus stop is very close to the villa and provides cheap and reliable transport to & from Konakli and Alanya every 10 mins up to 3am in the morning (in the holiday season) – a car is not necessary.

Palm villas sleeps 8/9 in 4 bedrooms – 1 double; 1 twin; 1 single; 1 double + single bed; single sofa bed in the lounge if required. Bed linen and towels are included (excluding beach towels). There are 3 bathrooms (1 bath;3 showers;3 toilets + washing machine).

The lounge, dining room and kitchen are open plan, split level. The kitchen is a fully fitted modern facility with large fridge/freezer, hob with oven, dishwasher, microwave, water filter and iron. The lounge has satellite TV with DVD player and opens onto a balcony with fitted barbecue and sunbeds.

The accommodation is arranged over 3 floors with large rooms; all with balconies.
The villa is fully air conditioned. There is solar heating for hot water plus an emersion heater. Gas and water is bottled and delivered to your door. The cost of electricity is included up to 40 units.

There is a British representative living on site ( Derek & Sue No. 11) who will arrange transfers; change overs; trips and deal with all queries. There is 24 hour security/handyman service plus car parking within the complex.

BOOKING ARRANGEMENTS
Please telephone Laura Noel on 07702 131710 to make a provisional reservation. To secure your booking you will need to return a completed booking form with the deposit (one third of the holiday price) within 5 days. You will receive written confirmation of your holiday as a receipt for your deposit. The final balance is due 4 weeks before your holiday starts.

Flights are usually Tuesdays or Sundays so these will be the usual change over days. Sue or Derek will check the property including the electricity metre with you when you leave. Please let them know if any thing gets broken, damaged or ceases to work properly during your stay. Please leave the villa in a clean and tidy condition.

	Prices also exclude Transfers which we can arrange and are paid for locally in euros. Cost = 60 euros for 4 people & 75 euros for 5-7 people each way (If you are a small party you may be sharing a minibus with other clients).
	Flights are usually Tuesdays and Sundays but other days can be accommodated.
	When you arrive at a Turkish airport you will be charged £10 per head entry tax. There is no charge on leaving.
	Electricity / Gas – 40 units of electricity are included in the cost of the holiday. The on site rep. will read the meter at your departure and you will be required to pay for any additional electricity used. This will either be zero or a small charge unless, for example, you have gone out every day and left the air-conditioning on throughout the Villa. Gas bottles will be replaced as required by the on site rep.

INFORMATION

Drink: It is advisable to always drink bottled water. The 25lt. water bottle with dispenser pump in the villa will be replaced if left outside the front door for a cost of 3ytl (£1.20). Beer and spirits are cheap but wine can be expensive – always ask in restaurants before ordering.

Local Buses; (Dolmus) go from the bus park outside Palm Villas – 100yds to the left on the main road (next to the beach bar).They run every 10 mins in the holiday season (every 20-30 mins out of season) until 3am in season (11pm in the winter).They cost 1ytl (40p) to Konakli and 1.75ytl (70p) to Alanya. When going from Alanya to Palm Villas by bus ask to get off at “Data Bareka” (this means the man with one arm and he owns the grocery shop where the bus stops).

Taxis to Alanya cost approximately 20ytl (£8) and barter is expected.

Money – YTL are New Turkish Lira – do not accept any notes with multiple zeros as these were withdrawn from use in 2005 following a major devaluation. There are approximately 10 ytl to £4. Lira or euros may be used for large items but lira are required for small items and in local shops. All your lira must be used up in Turkey. There are cash machines widely available.

Phone calls – mobiles work well in Turkey. When phoning the UK dial 0044 and drop the zero before the area code.

There is a Health Clinic and Post Office in Konakli. You will need to take your passport and insurance certificate for the clinic.

General

	Rubbish – leave outside villa front door each evening for collection
	The washing water in Alanya is very soft
	Please do not use scourers or chemicals on the marble worktop or sink – warm water is sufficient.
	If there is a power cut the emergency light is charging on top of the TV unit. After use replace and plug in.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1	Regretfully this is a no smoking villa except on the balconies.
2	The contact name and signatory on the booking form must be over 18 years of age and is responsible for the party occupying the villa.
3	The villa is let for holiday purposes only and must be vacated at the agreed time and date.
4	The number of people occupying the villa must not exceed the number specified on the booking form.
5	Deposits are not refundable and if the full cost is not paid by 4 weeks before the booking commences the owner reserves the right to resell the holiday.
6	The villa must be left in clean and tidy condition – failure to do so will result in additional charge.
7	Broken items and damage (other than normal wear and tear) must be paid for.
8	Electricity above 40 units must be paid for.
9	There is no public liability insurance / law in Turkey; therefore it is recommended that visitors take out holiday insurance. The owners take no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property or for personal injury to persons using 38 Palm Villas.
10	If for some reason the villa becomes unsuitable for letting all monies paid will be refunded in full and no further claims will be acknowledged by the owner.
