Kraken at the Cobb
The mackerel fishing season is in full swing at Lyme Regis, Dorset reports Nick Williams owner of fishing boat Kraken.
Nick says “After some really great weather the mackerel are biting, folks are taking away plenty of fishfrom most trips. Some opt for a beach barbecue after a one hour trip so I hear, but of course a few fillets for breakfast, lunch or a starter before a main meal is such a treat especially if you’ve caught it yourself. The skipper will happily prepare fish for the barbecue or fillet them ready for the pan.
At just £9 for an adult and £6 for a young person under 16 years for a one hour trip there can’t be many other activities where the whole family can have such great fun together. Some people book the whole boat for a family outing, birthday party, that sort of thing, of course as well as the excitement of fishing and the boat ride there’s a great opportunity to see some the most lovely parts of the Jurrasic Coast.
