From London & South East
A27 and then join the M27 West, this will then continue onto the A31 keep following the signs to Dorchester where you will then take the A35 towards Honiton.
Once you get to the sign for Dorchester we are 24 miles approx ½ hour.
Continue along the A35 to Bridport where you will pick up signs for Lyme Regis.
You go through the villages of ‘Chideock’ & then ‘Morcombelake’ and then you will pass a sign to Charmouth on your left. Continue to the end of the dual carriageway where there is a large roundabout.
There are two routes to us from this roundabout: either through Lyme Regis town or straight along the A35, there’s not too much between them, so I shall give you both routes.
Through Lyme Regis:
At the roundabout take the exist to the left signposted to Lyme Regis. Continue up and then down the hill and through the town of Lyme Regis. As you come up through the town take the road to your right just passed Tesco’s, the B3165 signposted to Axminster. Continue along this road for approx 1.5 miles. You will then come to a ‘Murco’ garage on your right; in front of you is a mini roundabout. Turn right into Cooks Mead
*** Once in Cooks Mead, the road bends sharply to the right & you turn left into Lime Kiln Lane, (opp you is the grave yard). At the first bend in Lime Kiln Lane turn right into a private driveway. You will see a sign to Valley View Farm & Carswell Farm. Continue up the drive for ½ mile, passing a white bungalow on your left. As you approach the farm, take the drive that veers off to the left. The lodge is located on the left past the farm building (The Jam Factory).
A35:
At the roundabout just passed Charmouth continue along the A35, at the Hunters Lodge Crossroads turn left down the B3165 To Lyme Regis. Continue along this road for 2 miles until you come to a mini roundabout at the mini roundabout turn left into Cooks Mead and follow the directions above***
From the North via M5
Leave the M5 at junction 25 and take the A358 to Chard. At Chard follow the signs to Axminster and then on to Lyme Regis. Along the A35 turn right onto the B3165 at Hunters Lodge (Public House) and you will see the sign to Lyme Regis continue along this road for 2 miles until you get to a mini roundabout. (The Murco garage is just beyond the roundabout).
Turn left into Cooks Mead at the roundabout and take the 1st left on the bend into Lime Kiln Lane. Take the 1st drive on your right. There is a sign once you are in the lane saying ‘Valley View Farm & Carswell Farm’. Continue up the drive for ½ mile, passing the white bungalow on your left. Once you get to the farm the drive bears off to the left up a slope and the lodge is on the left past the farm building (The Jam Factory).
