You can take pleasure scenic boat trips, see high speed power boats in action with water skiers following them, go sailing, yachting, swimming or wind surfing and body boarding.

Diving is a fast growing sport for adults, individuals are catered for.

Several charter boats trips will take individuals or groups deep sea angling or fishing and mackerel fishing. For the angler who doesn’t like boats then shore line fishing can be rewarding and relaxing.

Visit the bowling club and play bowls on their top class green. Lyme Regis have both an active cricket team and football club. You will be made welcome at The Lyme Regis Golf Club, or you can practice on the putting green (mini golf) in Langmoor gardens. There are riding schools nearby for your equestrian requirements.

There are several camping sites in the area where you can pitch your tent, useful for that walking or hitch hiking holiday. Study the unique geology of the Jurassic coast line.

Wherever you go in the resort you will see someone painting the scenery, very popular with the budding artist. Photography is also a well practised pass time. Study the marine wildlife, we have a very popular well maintained marine aquarium.

Lyme Bay and the surrounding coastline is the home and visiting place of many breeds of sea and shore line birds, some are rare. Ideal area for bird watching.

The South West Coast Path passes through Lyme Regis, see also attached map. Take the walk through the undercliff to Seaton and see the wild flora and fauna of the Heritage Nature Reserve. Ideal for walking or hiking holidays.

Most of the Inns and Public houses have music and singing evenings with live bands or disco. The Town Band and Junior band give regular performances.

FOR THE CHILDREN

Lyme Regis has excellent beaches and facilities for children.
There are organised beach games and activities. They can fish for crabs in the harbour or play crazy golf in Langmoor gardens where other amusements can be found. Kite flying on the beach when it is windy, Rock Pools to investigate plus much much more.

Fossill hunting can be a source of amusement.
They can learn  how to safely hunt for fossils here and with a qualified geologist.
