Rock fall at Monmouth Beach

The latest cliff collapse on 9th July 2012 pictured here was caused by heavy rain has resulted in huge movement at Monmouth beach, local Fossil hunter, Brandon Lennon says “its putting alot of pressure on the unstable jurassic marine sediments, all the recent rainfall has soaked right into the cliffs!”

Brandon is part of the team at Lyme Regis Museum organising the big fossil polishing day on July 26th this year which usually attracts around 300 people who agree, its a good time and everyone can have a go.
