LYME FOLK WEEKEND RETURNS IN 2015

After just two years, Lyme Folk Weekend has successfully established itself as one of the highlights of the south-west’s musical calendar and one of the not-to-miss festivals along the Jurassic coast. The festival’s organizers have just finalized dates for its return in August next year.

Last year’s festival brought music and dance to crowds of visitors and residents, as performers took to the streets, pubs and sea-front, filling the resort with the sound of music.
2015’s festivities will be even better, promise the organizers. Using their tested formula – blending young, new emerging talent with some of the finest folk acts in the country – not to mention dancing in the streets – the Uplyme-based promoters hope to prove that their folk carnival by the sea will attract more visitors than ever.

The 2015 festival will take place a week earlier than last year, running from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 August.
Julie Sheppard, the festival’s publicist said:”We’ll be announcing 2015’s acts in the New Year but you won’t have to wait until August to get your Lyme Folk fix – because we’re planning a one-off surprise in March – which you won’t want to miss. All will be revealed very soon…..”
